Request for Proposals
The Collaboratory is requesting proposals from businesses partnered with academic research groups in North Carolina to monitor, assess or address the public health and economic impacts of COVID-19 in North Carolina.
This opportunity has been made possible by a $15 million appropriation from the North Carolina General Assembly to support applied research for technology development and commercialization. A key goal of this opportunity is to drive innovative solutions for pandemic recovery through strong research partnerships between businesses and academic institutions across the State. Working together, business and academic partners will be able to request a minimum of $300,000 and a maximum of $3,000,000 to conduct their research.
Important Dates and Details
The deadline to apply is August 1, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Award announcements will be on or before September 30, 2022. Once applicants have received funding, projects can start as early as October 15, 2022. The anticipated duration of projects is up to 36 months and the maximum funding request is $3,000,000 per project.
