On May 4, researchers from the PFAS Testing Network held a virtual forum to share the latest findings and recommendations from a multi-year study on PFAS, which are often referred to as “forever chemicals.” Researchers from UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, and NC State University shared results about the latest research taking place across North Carolina, including:
- data on PFAS in public water supplies
- potential health effects of PFAS
- new research projects on PFAS in soil and animals
- potential solutions for removing PFAS from water
