On May 4, researchers from the PFAS Testing Network held a virtual forum to share the latest findings and recommendations from a multi-year study on PFAS, which are often referred to as “forever chemicals.”  Researchers from UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, and NC State University shared results about the latest research taking place across North Carolina, including:

  • data on PFAS in public water supplies
  • potential health effects of PFAS
  • new research projects on PFAS in soil and animals
  • potential solutions for removing PFAS from water

The PFAS Testing Network study was established with funding from the North Carolina General Assembly.  The full final study report and more information about the research can be found at ncpfastnetwork.com.
