N.C. Policy Collaboratory Submits UNC Jordan Lake Study Report to the N.C. General Assembly

Following a three-year study of Jordan Lake commissioned by the North Carolina legislature, a team of university researchers has submitted a final report, which includes management recommendations. The report examines the current state of the lake, evaluates water quality strategies and identifies new funding and policy opportunities.

New North Carolina Law Supports Oyster Gold Rush

During the 2019 legislative session the N.C. General Assembly passed a law intended to support and enhance the state’s growing shellfish industry. The legislation was based on the report “North Carolina Strategic Plan for Shellfish Mariculture,” which contained numerous policy and funding recommendations to strengthen and promote the shellfish industry.
