East Carolina University

East Carolina University (ECU) was not funded by the Collaboratory because it received a separate $15 million appropriation from the North Carolina General Assembly (NCGA) for the Brody School of Medicine to carry out a similar COVID-19 research mandate. More information about the progress of this research can be found in the ECU Interim Update submitted to the NCGA in September 2020.

ECU faculty and staff are also collaborating on several research projects funded by the Collaboratory that are underway across the UNC System.
